I returned to Kenova, West Virginia to get some Norfolk Southern and CSX trains. Trains are seen going under and over the bridge that was built over a hundred years ago. We also see a 4 track railroad crossing near the bridge with an excavator high rail vehicle sitting by the crossing.
The coal train in this video has 2 DPU locomotives in the middle and 200 loads of coal. Coal dust can be seen blowing off the cars but not nearly as bad as the coal train that I filmed in Ironton, Ohio.
My favourite part of the video is when 2 Norfolk Southern trains were passing on the bridge. Right after they passed you can see a CSX train approaching under the bridge.
Seeing a high rail truck pass over the bridge was pretty cool also. Listen to the stopped train as it starts up. It was loud and the cars made a domino effect with steel on steel. I put two pictures in the video. They are 58 years old and taken by Charles Oshel. They show the train station that used to be next to where the NS tracks pass over the CSX tracks. I was here with Scott and Joey. We got so many trains during this day that I have a Part 2 posted September 20, 2025AD.
