Ufan mmi! (My friends!) I’m on a mission to learn my parents’ native language — Ibibio — and wish to share with my fellow Akwa Ibomites who, too, want to learn useful phrases.
In this #IbibioLessonOfTheDay, we go over the phrases:
“Akere die?” or "Afo kere die?", which means what is your name and the response, "Nkere ____" or "A mmi nkere ______", my name is ________.
“A tu ke?” which means "where are you from?" and "Idung nfo adu ke?" which means "what village are you from?" and the response "Nto _____" meaning I am from ________.
"A ka uke?" which means where are you going?
Hope you enjoy! If so, like this video, comment below what other phrases you’d like to learn, share this video with others and subscribe for more videos like this. Peace and blessings. Akwa Ibom isongo! Ibibio isongo!
