Bought my first ukulele recently, I thought I would record the instrument with Aquila set as it was sold with it (except for the LOW-G string) and then repeat it couple of months later when I changed strings to see what`s better for me.
At the very beginning I decided for myself I wanted ukulele only in LOW-G tuning as it`s more logical for everyone coming from guitar.
The comparison is slightly unfair as I was so dumb I managed to break the Fremont`s 1-st string during changing and I had nothing to do but use the 4-th (High-G) string from Aquila as it was the only spare string left. it was relatively new as I didn`t use it at all and it has almost the same gauge as the 1-st string. Works fine, I think... I used Soprano-type Ukulele and recorded it with condenser mic, no post-fx
