March 20th, 1994. Madison Square Garden. Razor Ramon and Shawn Michaels climb a ladder and permanently change what professional wrestling can be.
And then history mostly forgot about him.
Scott Hall was one of the most complete performers the WWF had during its darkest commercial years — an elite in-ring worker, a natural on the mic, and an anti-hero whose effortless cool laid the groundwork for an entire era he never got to headline. No bad matches. No weak promos. Night after night, one of the few pillars holding the company up while the ratings bled and the next generation hadn't arrived yet.
He asked Vince McMahon directly what it would take to reach the top. Vince told him it wasn't going to happen.
So he left. Helped build the nWo. Changed wrestling again. And still didn't get the credit.
This is the story of Razor Ramon — the Intercontinental Champion who should have been more, the performer who helped invent the attitude era template that Stone Cold Steve Austin would later perfect, and one of the most underrated careers in wrestling history.
