In this video we're taking a look at the key differences in tennis strings and talking about which one could be best for you. This is just a guide to point you in the right direction, I highly recommend experimenting with different types of string, finding what you like and then nailing down the tension and the gauge.
Side note, I found that package of VS in my freezer and I estimate it to be around ten years old, I just strung a racket with it and it played perfect so definitely don't worry about the gut going bad unless you're leaving it in your car.
