André Fuchs in action as a trained industrial mechanic and pipe fitter at thyssenkrupp Electrical Steel. For over 15 years, he and his team, together with many dedicated colleagues, have kept the plant running – specifically, the production lines for grain-oriented electrical steel at the Gelsenkirchen site.
For André, his work is more than just a job. It's the daily challenges and the
maintenance of diverse systems that fascinate him and his colleagues – and above all, the feeling of working with friends. “They’re like family to me,” André says.
From welding and grinding to problem-solving and fine-tuning, no two days are the same. The job requires real teamwork and a strong focus on occupational safety.
