Another piece from Einaudi's album I Giorni! I Due Fiumi (The Two Rivers) is the second track on the album. The title references the story of a hippopotamus who lived at a merging of two rivers somewhere in the country of Mali, and who was beloved by the people in the nearby village. The visuals of the notes are made using slow-motion footage of an actual river, to complement the ambience of the piece.

I Due Fiumi has a distinct and beautiful melody. The main theme is repeated twice. In the second part, I added some extra ornamental notes, inspired by Einaudi's live performance at the Scala Concert in 2003.

In the Scala Concert rendition of I Due Fiumi, Einaudi gave the audience a never before heard piece of improvisation which he added towards the end of the piece. This improvisation will be uploaded as a separate video in the future. Also, more pieces of the I Giorni album will be uploaded.
