The Rapha Festive 500 is one of cycling’s toughest and most rewarding traditions — 500 kilometres ridden between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Cold mornings, tired legs, family commitments, questionable weather, and the constant temptation of festive food all stand in the way.

In this video, I take on the Festive 500 as a middle-aged amateur cyclist, documenting the highs, lows, frozen fingers, café stops, indoor turbo sessions, and the final push to reach 500km.

No pros, no pressure — just real winter riding and honest endurance cycling.
