SPEAKER BIOS:
Kathy Leonhardt, M.D. is a preventive medicine/public health physician with over 30 years of experience in public, private, and academic health care organizations. Dr. Leonhardt has held leadership roles in quality, patient safety and patient experience. Through the JCI Quality Management & Patient Safety Program, Dr. Leonhardt has led the education and training of 2,200 health care professionals from over 35 countries.

Jonathan B. Perlin, M.D., Ph.D. became the seventh president and CEO of The Joint Commission Enterprise on March 1, 2022. Previously, as president, clinical operations and chief medical officer, HCA Healthcare, Dr. Perlin led clinicians, data scientists and researchers in developing a learning health system model for improving care at the system’s 189 hospitals and 2,200 other locations. Dr. Perlin’s board service includes Columbia University’s Health Policy and Management program, Vanderbilt University’s School of Engineering, and he served as a Trustee of Meharry Medical College for 15 years.
