These are the highlights for Game 6 of the 1998 American League Championship Series. After a 5-3 victory for the New York Yankees in game 5, they have now taken a 3-2 lead in this series. The Yankees are now one win away from clinching the American League Pennant, previously doing so in 1996. The Cleveland Indians now face a must-win situation in order to keep their playoff hopes alive. The New York Yankees have David Cone on the mound, who pitched phenomenally in game 2, but got a no-decision in that game. The Yankees hope that David Cone can pitch well and allow the Yankees to clinch the pennant at home. The Cleveland Indians have Charles Nagy on the mound, and he also pitched well in game 2 and, like David Cone, got a no-decision in that game. The Indians hope that Charles Nagy can deliver a strong pitching performance in order to allow the Cleveland Indians to force a decisive Game 7, and make the Yankees indecisive on who to choose for their starting pitcher. In Game 6, these two teams give it their all as this 1998 American League Championship Series shifts back to The Bronx.
