In a historic development for the state’s security landscape, as many as 126 Maoists, including top-tier leaders and members of the People's Liberation Guerrilla Army, surrendered before Telangana CM Revanth Reddy. During the event held at the Integrated Command and Control Centre in Hyderabad, the surrendered cadres symbolically laid down 124 sophisticated weapons, including 31 AK-47 rifles, the Chief Minister assured the surrendering individuals of a comprehensive rehabilitation package, including financial aid and healthcare, while urging the remaining underground members to shun violence and join the mainstream.
