Let's get rolling. The Dell PowerEdge R710 supports SAS and SATA Solid State Drives: Serial-Attached SCSI (SAS) and Serial ATA (SATA) Solid-State Drives (SSD). SAS SSDs support speed options of 3GB/s or 6GB/s. SATA SSDs only have one speed option: 3GB/s. The PowerEdge R710 has both SFF and LFF chassis, so depending on your server it will either take 2.5” or 3.5” drives. If you wanted to install a 2.5” SFF drive into your 3.5” LFF chassis, make sure you include the adapter kit when checking out on our website. Solid State Drives capacities include 240GB, 256GB, 480GB, 512GB, 800GB, 960GB, 1.2TB, 1.6TB 1.92TB, 3.84TB and 7.68TB. SAS and SATA can both max out at 7.68TB per drive slot.
