CONSTANT PEG Pilots React to Unseen Footage - 4477th TES Red Eagles

Between 1977 and 1988, the US Air Force's Red Eagle squadron exposed more than 1,600 American tactical aviators to "the threat".

The programme, known as CONSTANT PEG, was shut down in the Spring of 1988, and only declassified in 2006.

I was fortunate enough to be entrusted with the responsibility for putting the first written account of the squadron, and in the year or so it took to do that, some photos came to light and the occasional document would appear from an unknown place.

Rumours of a CONSTANT PEG video abounded, but they never came to light... until late last year, when I was handed about 60 mins of very roughly cut stock footage.

This is the reaction to that footage by two Red Eagle MiG drivers - Z Man and Gabby - who were in the 4477th TES at around the time of the video (in fact, Z Man left just before the footage was shot, and Gabby is actually in the video for a fleeting moment). In fact, it appears to me that the footage comprises of least two filming sessions, separated by a year or more.

I am hoping that my friend, Neil Henderson, will be able to create a proper documentary with this footage, and until he does I won't release the raw footage.
