We take a POV ride on an O&K escalator at the TKMaxx store in Cambridge City Centre. This is the RTK-KBS type from the start of the 1990s built in Keighley, England 🏴.
This escalator is still original today - the store was originally an independent department store called Eaden Lilley. Then it became Borders bookstore and finally TKMaxx in 2010/11. The old horrible generic lift was replaced with a Monospace but luckily the escalator survived! Unfortunately there was only ever one, and no additional ones were installed so its only stairs for going down and to the 2nd floor…
