This storm was filmed on June 15, 2009. It's a bit early for thunderstorms in our area, but not entirely unusual. The updraft of the storm came fairly close to our place, and looked quite striking. The most unusual thing about this storm is that it came up from the South rather than from a Westerly direction.
The edit in the middle splices together the two films I made of this storm. This came out of neccessity because I had to stop filimng when the wall of rain came, and rescued my camera. I didn't entirely trust the shelter that I had made for my camera at that point.
The film is at 100x real time. The music used is Symphony no. 4, Op. 90 'Italian' IV. Saltarello Presto by Mendelssohn.
