Roach and perch fishing on the River Thames at Sanford

Описание: With wet and windy weather forecast I nearly didn't make this trip, which would only be my second to Sanford-on-Thames. But with great memories of my first visit, when I bagged up with over 15lb of River Thames roach on hemp and tares, I knew I had to give this famous stretch another go before the first frosts.

It's late September as I head back up towards Oxford and this time I decide to start on groundbait feeder and bigger baits like corn and lobworms, trying to catch a better stamp of fish, including roach and perch. As the rain pours down, it turns out to be harder going than before, but when you eventually start to crack such days it can be very satisfying.
