TAMATAROA | Mission 2024

Описание: Le projet TAMATAROA a mené à bien sa mission pour l’année 2024, marquant ainsi la fin de sa deuxième phase dans le cadre d’un effort à long terme visant à protéger Sphyrna mokarran (le grand requin-marteau) et son habitat. Adoptant une approche holistique, ce projet allie recherche scientifique, dimensions culturelles et engagement des communautés. Il intègre des études écologiques — suivi des déplacements, analyses génétiques et vidéosurveillance — ainsi que des évaluations socio-économiques des impacts humains, complétées par des actions participatives impliquant les populations locales et les institutions.

The TAMATAROA Project successfully concluded its 2024 mission, marking the completion of the second phase in its long-term effort to protect Sphyrna mokarran (the great hammerhead shark) and its habitat. Adopting a holistic approach, the project combines scientific research, cultural perspectives, and community engagement. It integrates ecological studies—including movement tracking, genetic analysis, and video monitoring—with socio-economic assessments of human impacts, alongside participatory initiatives involving local communities and institutions.
