Born near Saint-Pierre, belonging to the island of Réunion (which is a department of French state), on the 14th June 1969, Richardson was the leader of the first great generation of French handball players in the 90s.

Hablar de Jackson Richardson es hablar, posiblemente, del mejor jugador francés de todos los tiempos. Nacido en la localidad de Saint-Pierre, perteneciente a la isla de Reunión (que es un departamento del Estado francés) un 14 de junio de 1969, Richardson fue el líder de la primera gran generación de jugadores de balonmano franceses en la década de los 90.
