As an 8th grader at Orlando Christian prep he helped his varsity team win a state title while averaging a little over 14ppg. Before this point youtube couldn’t get enough of his story as up to this point he was still seen as more advanced than his class and height wise there wasn’t the separation it would eventually become. What happens when a basketball prodigy praised before puberty for his advanced skill and potential doesn’t actually become what’s expected and his peers not only catch but pass him? You have a Damon Harge and many like him. It’s not his fault he was called the best 12 year old ever, phenom, best in the nation or next great superstar. He was and for the most part still is just a kid. He blew up on youtube at a young age and had the likes of Kyrie Irving and John wall watching him and even saying they could see he going to be a star. How? He’s 12.
