About Dr. Luisa Blanco

Dr. Blanco is an economist and professor at Pepperdine University, specializing in economic development and international economics, with a focus on the Latin American region. Her research aims to provide useful recommendations for policymakers to improve the well-being of Latin American countries and their people at home and abroad. Dr. Blanco’s research has been published in peer-reviewed academic journals and she has received funding from institutions such as the National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Aging and the United States Agency for International Development, among others.


About Dr. Qi Sun

Dr. Qi Sun is the financial economist for Pacific Life’s Institutional Division. She is passionate about helping individuals and families reach their financial goals by providing sound research-based financial education. Her research focuses on longevity insurance, household asset allocation decisions, and financial well-being. Qi holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Donghua University, a master’s degree in personal financial planning from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and a doctorate in personal financial planning from Texas Tech University.
