"Well at the moment it's very difficult. Sangin's been sort of heavily populated by Taliban up until quite recently and they've got, they're still a little bit scared that the Taliban will come back. Although we have a relative amount of security at the moment they're still fearful that the Taliban will comeback, so they don't really want to cooperate to heavily with us."

STORYLINE:
British troops have been patrolling near deserted streets of Sangin in Afghanistan's Helmand province amongst the damaged houses and debris left by fighting between themselves and the Taliban.
The soldiers were reportedly there to keep the Taliban out of the town and to show the local population that they can provide them with security, but the few civilians who are trying to get back to or have remained in the city, complain that large number of civilians have been killed as a result of the fighting.
After the start of operation Silver on 4 April, NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) troops recovered control of Sangin from the Taliban as well as the main streets of Sangin bazaar.
An AP Television crew embedded with British troops showed British and Danish soldiers from the CIMIC team meeting with a local leader of the Sangin District.
