For YSG, how to design a bold and colourful kitchen begins with an initial spark of inspiration. The work of Mark Rothko – comprised of tonal pieces that dramatically present colour - and the new shades of the 2021 Laminex Colour Collection provided the impetus for the Fantales Kitchen design.

YSG’s distinctive plan to design a bold and colourful kitchen would not be complete without Laminex colours. A pairing of Laminex Burnt Ochre and Laminex Moroccan Clay lays the foundation for an Australiana palette, complemented by the addition of two-tone timber eucalyptus flooring.

In answering the question, “how to design a bold and colourful kitchen”, YSG seamlessly selected a complementary range of textured from the Laminex collection. With Artedomus porcelain tiles and walnut timber combined with two Laminex Woodgrains, the design of Fantales Kitchen playfully flits between the real and artificial - a visually entertaining manoeuvre that is a signature of YSG work.
