144 - Exploring The Forgotten & Abandoned Newport Canal | Norbury Junction To Wappenshall Junction

Описание: Today me and mum finally get to explore the lost and forgotten Newport canal which ran from Norbury Junction on the Shropshire Union to Wappenshall Junction where it joined the Shrewsbury Canal. Built-in 1835 with the purpose of linking the Shrewsbury canal to the rest of the canal network, it was abandoned in 1944. We explore abandoned locks, bridges, aqueducts and even visit a surviving stretch of the Newport canal.
