I have to admit, the stock G & B Broadtrons are not very far from the Filtertons. While they sound different, the TV Jones Filtertons are just slightly better.
But I took advantage of TV Jones' sale of blemished pickups, so there.
It seems as the years go by the stock pickups from budget guitars are getting better.
This is an unscientific tone comparison. Clip is my own composition, played through a VOX VT 40X modelling amp.
Tones may differ due to different strings, inconsistent player skill, string attack and ambient noise.
Amp settings remain the same in all clips. Videos are shot in one sitting, as much as possible.
Pickups are stock unless specified.
