The content of this video briefly demonstrates return on assets in terms of currency returns and percentage returns. Return on assets mean gain or loss on an investment. The video, in its’ first part, explains dollar returns where it shows return can be attained both by income and capital gain following an example of share where it asks to calculate return of an investment for a share that is bought for ten dollar, will pay three dollar dividend in next year and will be worth twelve dollar in a year.
Next part of the video explains percentage returns which can give more information about the engaging investment subsequent to an example where it asks to calculate percentage returns using the figure obtained from previous example. The video does the calculation just by dividing the sum of capital gain and income by the amount invested and thereby calculates the amount that can be attained for every share.
