Restored Cinefilm-ARHS Queensland Railtours from the late 1960's

Описание: Thanks to friend Eric Nickelson we are able to watch some rare archival footage of Australian Railway Historical Society (ARHS for short) from of some of their railtours of the late 1960's (more information to follow). The ARHS ran their 1000th railtour recently.
There are some rare shots of the A10 0-4-2 built in 1866 on a trip with DH1 a diesel hydraulic shunter, also C17 and BB18-1/4 steam locos and some shots of a beyer-garrat 4-8-2+2-8-4 built in 1951 and an example of this class no 1009 is preserved in working order. Also some shots of standard gauge NSWGR class class 50 leaving South Brisbane I believe this was the last inactive service at the time. I will give more details of these trips as they become available. Enjoy these restored cine films of QR steam in the 1960's.

Following is the only history I have of the events:-
The A10 and DH1 ran on the same day in October 1968 between Ipswich and Roma street, Including the quadrupled track through the western suburbs of Brisbane, where most of the filming took place.Note the Bris.skyline in the shots at Roma st. The 2 kids on DH1 are my eldest two, now in their fifties!!!
The N.S.W. standard goods was on its last run before retirement I believe, actually stabled
In Qld. 5035 ran pretty well considering how many steam leaks it had, doing the journey between South Bris. and Kyogle in early 1969, I think.
The 2 C17’s did the trip up to Toowoomba from Brisbane in the same year, the train returning with the Garrett in charge.BB18.25 No.1077 with green carriages (they had a name, long forgotten by me) did a trip from Brisbane to Lota and return in the early 1970’s. The turntable was at either Lota or Wynnum, Ibelieve the former.
I am sorry the info is a bit light on. One should always take notes for such an occasion as this.
