The 2026 Rivian R2 is a new all-electric midsize SUV positioned below the larger R1S and R1T, aimed at a broader price point.
Estimated starting price is around $45,000. The R2 offers two-row seating for five, a generous rear cargo area, and a front trunk.
Powertrain options include single-motor rear-wheel drive, dual-motor all-wheel drive, and a tri-motor all-wheel-drive configuration. With the larger battery, Rivian targets over 300 miles of range, while the tri-motor variant is expected to achieve 0–60 mph in under three seconds.
The interior centers on a 15.6-inch infotainment display. Deliveries are expected to begin in the first half of 2026.
Warranty coverage includes five years or 60,000 miles, along with an eight-year or 175,000-mile battery and drivetrain warranty.
