[Aikido] Jo Kata 31- Ethan Weisgard Sensei

Описание: On August 30-31, 2025, Aikido Singapore had the privilege of hosting Ethan Weisgard sensei, chief instructor of Copenhagen Aiki Shuren Dojo, for an intensive masterclass on aikido weapons training, focusing on Jo (staff) and Ken (sword) techniques. As a direct student of Saito sensei, who trained extensively under aikido founder O-sensei Morihei Ueshiba, Ethan sensei brought an authentic lineage of traditional aikido weapons practice to our dojo. We were deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn from his vast knowledge and experience in these classical forms.

Ethan Weisgard sensei is also the author of "Bukiwaza," a comprehensive text that provides an in-depth exploration of the complete curriculum of Basic and Advanced Aiki Ken and Aiki Jo as transmitted by Morihiro Saito Sensei. This work is founded upon Saito Sensei's 23 years of study as a direct student of O-Sensei.
