I couldn't review sealed subwoofers for 10 years, because it was too uncomfortable.

Keep in mind that Matching dual subs are optimal, and mixing subs will skew performance to the weaker sub. Better than a single, but not ideal. I would also not run Ported with Sealed.
SEALED Subwoofer *COMFORT HACK*!!! DUAL SVS SB-17 ULTRAS! Finally!!
The process of figuring this out was genuinely painful due to my Post Concussion Syndrome, which make hearing more sensitive in a negative way. My hearing is fragile, or easily offended, so it doesn't take much for enjoyment to become unpleasant.
It's not something I'm happy about or boast about.
What I love about deep bass ported subs is that when you run matching dual subs, and shift the timing by adding 4 feet of distance AFTER room correction, the sound is deep, powerful, moving, shocking when it should be, delicate when it should be, and as comfortable as a nice warm bath. I can and do listen to them all day without ANY discomfort.
I don't have to moderate the volume as much as you would expect, so I can blast it without ear fatigue if I want to. For someone with Post Concussion Syndrome, this is typically impossible.
To that point, something as little as having dynamic EQ set to "Reference" instead of "Flat" can cause irritation. Not adding 4 feet can as well. A single subwoofer, or shallow subs that are peaky can too. Any 1 of those things can put a stop to my listening due to discomfort.
So being able to finally listen to sealed subs, for weeks without ANY issue has been a spectacular wind for me. Before, no matter what I did, dual sealed subs were painful.
I used to speculate that maybe it was a pressure change in the room, but based on the way this hack works, I now know that it's the constructive interference of sealed subs that cause the problem.
Staggering the timing by adding an extra 2 feet to one of the subs slightly changes that "perfect timing constructive interference", to a staggered constructive interference, which still delivers the benefits of dual subs, but without the discomfort.
This is seat to seat for me, no matter where you are in the room.
I still don't know exactly why this happens with sealed and not ported, but I'm just happy I understand the remedy, and I'm able to pass that on to you.
If you want to support my channel, you can used the affiliate links above, and it could generate revenue to help keep production going, at no cost to you. At some point I'd like to hire an editor so I can produce more videos, but I'm not there yet. I appreciate the support, comments, likes, subscriptions, everything.
It's all very humbling, and I'm grateful to have such amazing viewers.
