Описание: Today is the first which introduces Translink to the channel. The Northern Irish operator that provides public transport all over Northern Ireland with many different Bus and Train services throughout. Operating by three divisions throughout its bus network. Metro (Buses in and around Belfast). Ulsterbus (Buses all over Northern Ireland). And Goldline (A division of Ulsterbus proving Express services throughout Northern Ireland and cross border express services). Today, we start by sampling a dying breed in the Translink fleet, the Scania Solar. The Solars took delivery between 2001 and 2006 and operated with both Metro and Ulsterbus through the years. The delivery of Wright GB Hawks since 2020 has taken a significant downfall in the number of Solars, so with that being said, a Farewell Tour was held on Saturday, March 5th to pay respect to the Solars before they eventually disappear by the end of 2022. 732 which has recently been preserved could unfortunately not attend with Leyland Tiger 1431 used instead. From there we were transported between Belfast Europa to Newtownards Bus Station. We then boarded 825 which unfortunately I didn't get footage of on route 10 to Portaferry and back. Then after a quick nosey round in Newtownards depot, we boarded this, 785, the last TCZ Solar in service with Ulsterbus which brought us back to Belfast Europa. All in all a great day out. I apologise that I can't give much info on the Solars as I'm not familiar with the Translink fleet. Hopefully, more Translink videos will appear on the channel in the future but for now, enjoy!
