In this video I proceed with the engine rebuild on the Renault 5 GT TURBO.
This time I measure the cylinder liner protrusion and install both the crankshaft and the camshaft.
I measure the bearing clearance and crankshaft end float with a micro measure clock and plastic gauge.
This engine is being rebuild because of a massive engine failure due to the fact that someone in the past had installed the wrong cylinder head, and also filled the engine with liquid sealant which had clogged all the oil passages...
The engine ended up cracking a piston.
Please keep in mind that I do this as a hobby, and I am not an expert in anyway. Use my videos as a inspiration.
