Описание: Murderous Muses is one of the most unique released of the year blending a murder mystery FMV game the likes of The Shapeshifting Detective and The Infectious Madness of Dr. Dekker with a walking simulator.

You find yourself taking on the role of night watchman of a museum in the fictional lore filled city of Mirlhaven. Your friend, Sasha, keeps you posted every night before your shift and will sometimes ask you for favours.

The museum you are watching contains many paintings of a famous painter by the name of Mordechai Grey who was murdered around the same time last year. You notice that as you touch the paintings, they seem to come to life, revealing information about the six suspects and their feelings towards the painter which may reveal to you what really happened the night Mordechai Grey died.

The game is completely randomly generated and will take multiple playthroughs if you want to see all of the content. To start, one of the 6 suspects will be randomized as the killer. There will also be three clues, one for each night, and each night has a possibility of being one of three clues which means you will need to play the game a minimum of three times to see all of the clues, possibly. There is a chance you'll get the same clue on back to back playthroughs as I have many times. This adds to the replay-abliliy but also may contribute to a lot of repeating content across playthroughs.

One playthrough takes place over three days which are split up into Day and Night.

During the day, you can explore the museum and look at the paintings with some information from JAMIE: the museums automated tour guide from pushing the button beside it. You can also open crates for Sasha and hang up the paintings in the appropriate places. This is where you can unlock "Employee of the Month" and "Lost and Found". For Employee of the Month, all you need to do is hang up all 18 paintings that spawn over the course of a playthrough in their correct place. On the first day, I left one painting in my inventory which shows up in the staff room crate the next night. This is how you unlock Lost and Found (example: 1:08:30).

At Night, the goal is to see all of the FMV scenes that are assigned to you for each character on a given night. Once you've watched them in the order given, you can then see a Police Interview FMV scene which will give you a hint as to whether or not they have an alibi for that clue. Example: This playthrough has "Access is Key" which means either the suspect knew about the key above the doorway (no alibi) or didn't know about the key above the doorway (alibi). There may be some extra information, like a history of theft or break ins, but that's just to distract you from the main point (whether or not they knew Mordechai had a spare key)

Pay to Win is pretty simple to unlock but can be easily missed. There is a room in the second part of the night where the Staff Room is during the first part. Here you can trade 6 eyes of Mordechai in exchange for one innocent suspect. This can only be done once per playthrough and will give you the trophy/achievement. See 1:24:10 for an example.

At some point, you may come across a plaque with a keyword that when used with a certain suspect, it will branch out into two other keywords. You will then get the choice of seeing the FMV clips of one. This means, if you want to see all of the FMV clips, you will need to do this a minimum of do times for each keyword. You will need more later on as some suspects may be absent. I will point out any time this happens in a playthrough:

In this playthrough we managed to get [Fans] in Night One for Lilith at 47:47 which will unlock [Cheerleader] and [Zombie] and at 52:22 we use Xavier on [Mordechai] to unlock [Imagination] and [Memories].

Much later in Night Three: Part 2 at 2:39:20, we use Otto on [Evil] to unlock [Addiction] and [Deceit].

Each night, you will come across a puzzle. I wasn't able to get "Mind Games" for getting the puzzle on the first try each night but I managed to in a later playthrough. I did, however, solve all three puzzles which will give you a key to a locked door.

This room contains a plaque with a keyword you can use without exhausting one of your Mordechai eyes, a phone call from Sasha revealing some more Lore being the museum, an urn which also reveals some Lore involving Mordechai and Kira as well as making progress towards "The Importance of Being Urnest" which is for collecting all 16 urns. This will take 4 playthroughs if you solve all the puzzles and hang up all the paintings.

On the second part of the third night, Sasha will reward you with an auk figurine. Place this on a pedestal in the museum to unlock an additional urn, phone call and golden keyword.
