My first attempt to play a concert with this incredible instrument. Still I have to improve the control with the nuances of the notes, balance, timing, and technics. No taraf (sympathetic) strings, and the sound is very close to Rudra Veena which makes it more oriented to Dhrupad ang. Chris Doddridge had taken this broken instrument from Benares in the 80's, which he restored and gave a new life in his workshop in the UK. This unique Surbahar could be called Kachapi veena in some theories.
