After spending over a week in the remote Limi Valley of Humla, it was finally the time to begin our trek. We rested in Aita for a day and began our journey to the hidden valley of Nying the next day.
The valley gets its name from a heart shaped rock right in the middle of the valley, Nying in the local language meaning heart. This place has various holy shrines and some interesting water bodies.
Ning valley is surprisingly close, taking about 4-5 hours of hike from Aita. But the landscape, the view and the peace it offers is extraordinary. Despite its huge potential, Nying valley is currently used as grazing grounds for horses and yaks for the people of Limi.
