At the EV Auto Show Riyadh’s leadership platform, industry leaders are reflecting on the innovations that shaped today’s EV landscape.
Faisal Sultan, President, Lucid Motors Middle East, shared a defining chapter from the early days of Atieva:
“We started as a company called Atieva. Atieva was formed in 2007, so we have a very long history. And what Atieva was it was a battery supplier. The batteries that Atieva was supplying allowed Formula E to actually use one car with one battery. Before the introduction of Atieva batteries in Formula E, you had to change cars because you would run out of range.”
This legacy underscores how breakthrough battery engineering didn’t just support an industry, it accelerated a global transition. The EV Auto Show continues to be the platform where these transformative stories and future-forward technologies converge.
