Shane Movie Locations in Grand Tetons National Park - This video shows you two locations you can visit when the 1953 movie western "Shane" was filmed. One is called the Ernie Wright cabin because that is where the movie character named Ernie Wright lived. The other is Schwabacher Landing. You can see people in wagons traveling along this section of the river during the movie. - 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗽𝘆𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻 -
You can easily reach both spots by car, if the roads are in good condition. The Cabins are on the north side of Gros Ventre Road about one mile east of Kelly Warm Springs. When I was there in 2017, the location was not marked by any signs. Schwabacher Landing is just south of Teton Point Turnout on US 191. The cabin Shane and the family stayed in, as well as the town, were dismantled after they finished shooting the movie. The Wright Cabin was a genuine pioneer cabin which was leaded to the movie makers. Later it was abandoned as you can see in the video.
