Описание: Chitral is situated on the banks of River Chitral/Kabul. The attractions near Chitral are, Shahi masjid, Shahi Palace, Shahi Fort, Museum, Garam Chashma, National Park, Base Camp of Tirich Mir, beautiful Kalash Valleys. This region is influenced by the Afghan and Central Russian States. Mostly food are likely similar to them. Chitral is the largest district in the KPK province of Pakistan. It is situated in the Hindukush Mountain Range. Chitral is amongst the highest regions of the world, it has many peaks more than 6100 meters in height. Chitral is very mountainous and Tirich Mir elevation 25289 feet, the highest peak of the Hindu Kush Mountain Range.
Chitral is connected to the rest of Pakistan by two major road routes, the Lowari Pass (10,230 ft.) from Dir and Shandur Top(12,200 ft.) from Gilgit. Shandur route is closed in winter. The Lowari Tunnel has been come into use since 2017 under the Lowari Pass. A number of other high passes, including Darkot Pass, Thoi Pass and Zagaran Pass, provide access on foot to Chitral from Gilgit-Baltistan in Ghizer District.
We completed Dir Lowari Top route please see part-3. Now we are going to attempt second route which will be completed via Shandur Pass. Shandur Polo festival is Internationally famous which celebrates on 7-9 July every year. Road distance is about 392 Kilo Meters between Chitral-Gilgit.
