Описание: Airtaxi from Archer Aviation have become the official transport of the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. They will deliver spectators and athletes, bypassing traffic jams, between key points of the metropolis. The company is currently undergoing the final stage of certification in the United States in order to launch commercial flights of the Midnight model this year and have time to set up logistics by the start of the Olympics. Special takeoff sites — vertiports — will be built near stadiums, the airport, and in Hollywood. Flights between them will take only 10–20 minutes and will cost as much as an Uber Black ride.Midnight is an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft. It is as maneuverable as a drone and can reach speeds of up to 240 km/h – almost as fast as a light aircraft. The cockpit has one pilot and four passengers. The first successful test flight took place in October 2023, and over the course of a year, the aircraft has undergone more than 400 tests.
It is almost silent for the city: the noise level in flight is only 45 dB, like an air conditioner in a room. The maximum range is 160 km, and a quick charge in 10 minutes gives a power reserve of about 30 km.
