In Bangladesh, the ICDRM project implementation promoted inclusion in disaster risk reduction and management efforts. The program supported involving youth, the elderly, people with special needs, and LGBTQ individuals in the Ward and the Union Disaster Management Committee. The vulnerable groups now have active roles in decision making at the union level disaster management committees. Their needs are starting to be met as their voices are heard by the authorities. The goal is that no one is left behind in the disaster risk reduction efforts in the area.
