The United Vision Project - An Organizing and Research Effort for Rural America

Описание: United Vision for Idaho (UVI) spearheaded the United Vision Project, which has created a powerful set of tools and information that show it’s possible to build bridges—even with people who sympathize with authoritarianism and identify as ethnic nationalists. UVP is the first-ever organizing and research effort focused on rural, White conservative voters, especially those with ethnic nationalist and authoritarian beliefs. UVP partners include 22nd Century Initiative, Narrative Initiative, Political Research Associates, the Shorenstein Center for Media, Politics, and Public Policy at Harvard, the Women’s March, People’s Action, and Showing Up for Racial Justice.
Together, we understand the future of progressive issue advocacy is not just about crafting new narratives, collecting stories, or soliciting donations. Instead, our charge must be to hone our ability to de-escalate bias, hate, and extremism, connect authentically with people different from us, and find our way to common ground.

We've been under constant attack for decades, so we know how to fight back, now together we are showing up to lead a new movement directive that engages all of us coast to coast, North to South in a shared vision of resilience, perseverance, and determination to build anew.

In the process, we tap into the strongest source of collective power: our shared humanity and drive to connect with one another. And if we build that, there’s nothing we can’t win.
