On Thursday, February 8, Form Energy's construction team raised the final steel beam for Form Factory 1 and livestreamed the exciting milestone. In this video, you will see the final beam going up, as well as hear opening remarks about the significance of the milestone from Ted Wiley, President & COO of Form Energy, and Soufiane Halily, Vice President of Form Factory.
About Form Factory 1:
Form Factory 1 is Form Energy’s first high-volume battery manufacturing facility currently under construction in Weirton, West Virginia at the site of the former Weirton Steel plant. The facility will ultimately employ more than 750 people and will have an annual production capacity of 500 megawatts of batteries when operating at full capacity. Since breaking ground in May 2023, the Form Energy team has made rapid construction progress, and we are on track to open our factory doors later this year.
