Daystar University shut down

Описание: Daystar University has been shut down indefinitely with the University's senate ordering all students and staff to vacate the institution's campuses in Athi River and Valley road to vacate by 2 PM.The closure follows weeks of student unrest at the private university which had brought learning to a standstill. The students have been demanding for an audit report on the running of the institution. Last night a standoff ensued between police and students at the University's Nairobi campus with the law enforcers using tear gas on the students. This took place as a group of students met in one of the Buildings to discuss issues that have seen learners boycott classes and turn against the management.
