Nazareth QB and Auburn commit Peyton Falzone

Falzone threw three touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Blue Eagles defeated the Bulldogs 30-20 in a marquee Week 3 matchup. The Auburn commit went 16-of-27 for 258 yards. Nazareth finished with 392 yards and 21 first downs. The (3-0) Blue Eagles averaged 6.6 yards per play. Tanner Zelachowski, Luke Depietro, and Matt Leluga each caught a touchdown pass. Marquez Wimberly, a Sacramento State commit, added 99 yards on 15 carries. "The run game is super important. I'm proud of the offensive line. They did a good job as well," noted Falzone. Nazareth displayed a balanced offense by running the ball 32 times. "I'm gonna do whatever it takes to win. I'm not a stats guy. I just want to get the win," emphasized Falzone. The 6'5, 208-pound senior hit Leluga for a 40-yard TD pass to make it 30-13 with seven minutes remaining. Falzone is prepared to handle the pressure that comes along with being a 4-star recruit and All-State selection. "I'm super proud of the support system I have. Credit to my mom and dad, they do a good job supporting me. I understand that heavy is the head that wears the crown," he replied. His father, Tom Falzone, is in his 12th season as the Blue Eagles' head coach. After knocking off Wilson on Friday, Peyton went to see Auburn in action on Saturday. He's looking forward to playing in the SEC. "It's an electric experience. The atmosphere is unlike anything else," said Falzone.
