Описание: Mount Elbert is the highest mountain above sea level in Colorado, at an elevation of 14,438 feet. I climbed via the North Elbert Trail, which ended up being a 10 mile round trip with about 4,500 feet of elevation gain. Altitude sickness is definitely a concern when climbing this peak so I went slow and drank plenty of water. I also acclimatized by sleeping in Leadville a few nights, and doing some other easier high elevation hikes beforehand. Also Colorado is notorious for afternoon thunderstorms in the summer. They can come out of nowhere, so be off the summit before Noon.
