RC FPV DJI O4 + Goggles 3 Range Test

Описание: I'm basically doing the same testing here as I did with the O3 at first. This is not an outright max range test with LOS because that's not really feasible without a huge open stretch. I'm sitting inside a parked car wearing the goggles, have some clearance around me otherwise, but putting concrete buildings in the way to simulate general real world obstruction.

My audio receiver is sitting next to me playing through a small amp and speaker with the volume turned up and I have my phone sitting next to it recording. This way you can hear at which points the audio signal struggles and gets distorted. The gain is so high right now though it just sounds drowned out when I'm moving fast cause of the high speed rattle of the metal diffs etc. Crossfire is what makes it difficult to use the full potential of the 1.2G because it will ramp up pretty high in output power when behind a lot of obstruction. I don't let it go over 500mW but there are places I've driven where it probably needed to ramp all the way to 2W to keep a solid signal, but yet I still had some usable video at the time. It's the kind of problem you might not notice if you were actually standing outside at the time.

At about 1:10 is the point where every system on the car struggles. Crossfire is ramping up to max power (500mW), the 1.2G audio is unusable, and the O4 is dipping down to the threshold of the lowest I want it to go. It's kind of an interconnected issue when it comes to the audio because the Crossfire is close enough to the 1.2G to drown it out when it ramps up above maybe 250mW. The O3 with upgraded antennas and the stock O4 both seem to reach turn-around point once 3 of these buildings start stacking combined with slight ground obstruction in the LOS. Now that I have a baseline understanding of the stock O4 signals I can play around with antennas on the air unit to see if it makes any difference.
