असुरों के उस झुंड की, अब सांसें सारी हांफ उठी।

देख बल महाबली का, थर्राए पहाड़ सब।
अक्षय कुमार आया, करने को संहार था,
पर वीर के एक मुक्के में, वो यमलोक के पार था।
पकड़ा गया जो जानबूझकर, वो लीला बड़ी निराली थी,
रावण की उस अकड़ की, अब होने वाली खाली थी।

सभा लगी थी रावण की, दशानन का गुमान था,
सामने खड़ा निडर, वो अंजनी का प्राण था।
पूछा जब अभिमान में— "बता कौन है तू वानर?"
कहा— "दूत हूँ मैं राम का, काल खड़ा तेरे सर पर!"
सिंहासन से ऊँचा, अपना आसन बना लिया,
लंकेश की ही सभा में, अपना परचम लहरा दिया।
"पूंछ में लगा दो आग", ये आज्ञा अधर्मी की,
पर भूल गया वो सीमा, एक राम-भक्त की गर्मी की।

पूंछ बढ़ी, मशाल जली, फिर खेल शुरू ये होने को,
तैयार रहे ये सोने की नगरी, अपना वजूद खोने को।
नभ को छुआ, गगन डरा, जब बजरंग ने हुंकार भरी,
राख की ढेरी बनकर तड़पी, रावण की वो लंका परी!
एक महल से दूजे महल, छलांगों में विनाश था,
स्वर्णमयी उस लंका का, अब होता सत्यानाश था!
