London Overground: Crystal Palace to Highbury & Islington

Описание: In this video, we begin by exploring the East London Line Extension from Crystal Palace to New Cross Gate, consisting of 7.7 km (4.8 mi). Followed by swopping over the Brighton Main Line using the New Cross Gate Flyover, which takes us to the the original section of the East London Line. Beneath the River Thames, we pass through the oldest tunnel on the entire London Overground network, originally opened in 1843. Shortly before arriving at Shoreditch High Street station, we cross over the West Anglia Main Line as well as the Great Eastern Main Line, then travel on the Kingsland Viaduct, which was built in the 1860s, but was disused from 1986 until it was reopened to carry the London Overground in 2010. After departing Dalston Junction station, we take a westwards turn and travel west until reaching the terminus of Highbury & Islington station.
