I'm back in Palembang after a quick trip to Bali to pick up my laptop. This time I'm taking the LRT train from Palembang's airport to my hotel. To give you guys an idea of how much cheaper and more convenient it is, I show you how much you're going to get asked to pay by the taxi drivers when you arrive. Each time they started off at around 150,000 rupiah, around $10, then went down to 100,000, around $7. If you can, take the train. It's only 10,000 rupiah. There are a bunch of hotels all along the train line so make sure you're close. I'm sure you could get in touch with your hotel too and have them pick you up from the station if it was too far. I stayed at the Azza Hotel and it is just 50 meters or so from the station.
