Welcome to our latest update on the Cotswold Canals Restoration Project!

In this episode, we highlight exciting developments along the Stroudwater Navigation, including:
🛠️ The latest progress on the temporary bridge at Bond’s Mill Estate, where tarmac has been laid and fresh road markings applied.
🌊 The installation of three new culvert pipes at Oldbury Brook near John Robinson Lock — see how our volunteers made it happen.
🌿 And our ecological efforts: volunteers have launched Operation Balsam, a major push to remove the invasive Himalayan balsam. Some of these plants grow over 4 metres tall and threaten the local ecosystem — clearing them makes space for native wildlife to thrive.

📅 This update covers work carried out from 01/06/2025 to 06/06/2025, stretching from Occupation Bridge to Bond’s Mill Estate. Each week brings new progress, and this series is here to document it all — from engineering to ecology.
