Singing around the Christmas Tree

Описание: In 1910, Ronald Procter, the DF's first engineer, brought a tree and decorated it with a basic serial set. This was all done in secret, (even Amma wasn't allowed to take a peek!) lest the surprise be lost! Back in those days, there was no alternating current. So this was done using a small DC power source. All these efforts were for the sake of seeing the uninhibited smiles of awe and joy on the children's faces, and we've gathered round the gigantic tree at Christmas ever since.
